Last weekend we held our first ever open day at Peel Hall. It was a glorious day with the sun shining and we had a good turnout with around 100 guests managing to make it. 20 horses were paraded whilst Pull The Pin was in action on the flat at Chester.
Carolyn Tanner was thankfully able to attend and has kindly written a report which has been published on the Weatherbys website and can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
Pull The Pin owned by Connor Harding was narrowly beaten on sunday at Leicester in the 7 furlong Rutland Selling Stakes to finish 3rd. The official distances were a neck and a neck, denying the yard our first success with only our second ever runner on the level.
The Racing Post quoted “Pull The Pin finished last of ten on his debut at Wolverhampton last December. He was making his comeback for a new yard and showed enough to suggest he can be found a similar race in due course.”
Pin was having his first run for the yard having only run once before he arrived with us where he had finished last of 10 around Wolverhampton.
He is entered up again this weekend at Chester in a maiden over 7 furlongs but his participation will depend upon how he is feeling after his first run back. It is more likely that we will wait a couple before we run him again and I would like to think that there should be plenty of improvement to come from him!
